AfriForum Refuse Removal: Already 107 tons of refuse removed this year

AfriForum Refuse Removal removed 107.61 tons of refuse from Bloemfontein communities during January and February this year. A total of 3 924 km were covered during this time to ensure that neighbourhoods and public spaces can be cleaner and tidier.

These actions make a visible difference to the cleanliness, health and general safety of communities. At a time when the Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality repeatedly fails to ensure basic service delivery to ratepayers, AfriForum’s community initiatives stand as proof that practical solutions are possible when people stand together.

“These results show what can be achieved when communities take responsibility for themselves and work together for a better environment,” says Christo Groenewald, AfriForum’s district coordinator in Bloemfontein.

“We invite residents and local businesses to join this service so that together we can make a sustainable difference and build Bloemfontein into the clean city it should be.”
