Potholes, washed-out roads and dangerous road conditions after the recent storms are affecting residents, schoolchildren, businesses and emergency services across Knysna.
AfriForum’s Knysna branch received numerous complaints and enquiries from the community. The message is clear: residents do not just want to complain – they want a practical plan, clear priorities and regular feedback.
We request the Knysna Local Municipality to:
- publish a clear action plan for storm-damaged roads;
- confirm priority areas and timelines for repairs;
- temporarily secure dangerous roads where repairs cannot yet take place;
- provide regular feedback to the community; and
- establish a community forum where local organisations, including AfriForum, can provide input.
Knysna’s residents deserve safe roads and honest feedback.
Sign the petition and help AfriForum convey the community’s voice to the municipality.
