AfriForum expresses its condolences on the passing of Kgosi Bogosieng Mahura

AfriForum has noted with sadness the passing of Kgosi Bogosieng Mahura, Kgosi of the Batlhaping Ba Ga Phuduhutswana Ba Ga Mahura.

“AfriForum extends our deepest condolences to the Mahura royal family, the Batlhaping Ba Ga Phuduhutswana Ba Ga Mahura cultural community and the National and Northern Cape Houses of Traditional and Khoi-San Leaders. We pray for comfort for all who were close to Kgosi Mahura and who stood under his leadership,” says Barend Uys, Head of Intercultural Relations and Cooperation at AfriForum.

“We believe that Kgosi Mahura’s life and example in his dedication to the preservation and strengthening of cultural identity and a historical consciousness will continue to inspire future generations of his cultural community and also other cultural communities in the country,” concludes Uys.
