AfriForum expresses condolences on the passing of Nkosi Mpumalanga Gwebingqele Gwadiso

AfriForum has learnt with deep sadness of the passing of Nkosi Mpumalanga Gwebingqele Gwadiso, Chairperson of the Eastern Cape Provincial House of Traditional and Khoi-San Leaders and Nkosi (senior traditional leader) of the Khonjwayo Traditional Community.

According to Barend Uys, Head of Intercultural Relations and Cooperation at AfriForum, Nkosi Gwadiso will be remembered for his professionalism, kindness, and servant leadership. “Nkosi Gwadiso provided leadership with unwavering commitment, steadfastness, and grace. His absence will be felt by leaders and cultural communities across the Eastern Cape and the rest of the country. He honoured the legacy of his ancestors, and we honour his memory,” says Uys.

“AfriForum extends its heartfelt condolences to the Gwadiso Royal Family, the Khonjwayo Traditional Community, and the Eastern Cape House of Traditional and Khoi-San Leaders. We pray for comfort for Nkosi Gwadiso’s family, his cultural community and all those who served under his leadership. We pray that our Heavenly Father will provide them with strength and courage for the funeral tomorrow and the difficult days that lie ahead,” concludes Uys.
