The Equality Court today granted leave to appeal in the civil rights organisation AfriForum\u2019s Kill the Boer<\/em> hate speech case against the EFF, Julius Malema and Mbuyiseni Ndlozi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This application comes after the Equality Court declared in August that the chant Kill the Boer<\/em> is not hate speech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ernst van Zyl, Campaign Officer for strategy and content at AfriForum, says that this case is of great importance, as a message must be sent loud and clear that chants that incite violence is unacceptable and will have consequences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cToday\u2019s decision is only a single step forward in AfriForum\u2019s great fight against the incitement of violence against farmers and minority groups.
