The AfriForum branch in Vryheid erected an emergency water point to supply water to the community during water interruptions. The Abaqulusi Local Municipality frequently lets residents down as far as water supply is concerned due to pumps and water pipes breaking.<\/p>\n
\u201cFrequent water interruptions forced us to erect an emergency water point to assist our community during water interruptions. We cannot understand why these pumps are so defective. AfriForum offered its assistance to the Municipality without success and that is why we erected this water point,\u201d says Andr\u00e9 van der Walt, Chairperson of AfriForum\u2019s Vryheid branch.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
\u201cWe daily see how the infrastructure in KwaZulu-Natal is deteriorating and AfriForum is disappointed that the Municipality does not want to accept the community\u2019s help.
