From 16:00 to 06:00 on 8 March 2019 AfriForum\u2019s neighbourhood watches in Gauteng took part in the civil rights watchdog\u2019s national patrol. The Apies River, Bronkhorstspruit, Hennops River Valley, Moot, Meyers Park, Pretoria-West and West Moot neighbourhood watches were, in conjunction with numerous other safety institutions, security firms and the police in the Tshwane Metropolitan area, involved in this patrol.<\/p>\n

Altogether 15 AfriForum neighbourhood watches and 241 patrollers took part in the patrol. The patrol covered more than 3 215 km in 156 vehicles in a total of 276 manhours. No incidents were reported.<\/p>\n
Nine other safety institutions \u2013 including CPFs, security firms, the SAPS and other private neighbourhood watches \u2013 took part in this patrol along with AfriForum.<\/p>\n
