The AfriForum neighbourhood watches in Vanderbijlpark, Kempton Park and Alberton this past weekend participated in the civil rights organisation\u2019s national mass patrol. The patrol was carried out successfully by approximately 155 neighbourhood watch members, as well as members of the South African Police Service (SAPS). \u00a0<\/p>\n
The mass patrol was directed towards crime prevention and the visibility of the respective safety structures. The patrollers patrolled the towns between Friday night at 19:00 and Saturday morning at 4:00 in shifts during which a total of 4\u00a0944\u00a0km were covered. No serious incidents of crime were reported.<\/p>\n
