The AfriForum branch in Bethal confirmed its cooperation with the South African Police Service (SAPS) by presenting a copy of the cooperation agreement that was signed on 16\u00a0January\u00a02017 between AfriForum and the SAPS in Centurion to the Station Commander of this police station on 7\u00a0February\u00a02017.<\/p>\n
The agreement was handed over to Lt Col Petrus Nzina, Commander of the SAPS in Bethal.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are extremely excited about this agreement, which has the purpose of following an integrated approach to improve safety and encourage community cooperation in the combating of crime,\u201d says Hillel Coetzer, AfriForum\u2019s Regional Coordinator for Mpumalanga West.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis agreement strengthens our ability to bring about a difference in our community, but we need the help and support of local residents in order to fight against crime,\u201d says Ingrid Human, Chairperson of the AfriForum branch in Bethal.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfriForum is also planning to enter into cooperation discussions with CPF structures shortly,\u201d Coetzer concludes.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
