Elmarie van Dalen, Chairperson of AfriForum\u2019s Overstrand branch, and Thomas van Dalen, AfriForum\u2019s Provincial Coordinator for the Western Cape, yesterday handed a copy of the cooperative agreement recently entered into by AfriForum and the Acting National Police Commissioner to Col Luthando Nosilela, Police Commander in Hermanus.<\/p>\n

Col Nosilela said during the event that he is willing to work with any organisation that prioritises the combating of crime. He also mentioned that \u201cpartnerships\u201d is one of the four pillars on which the SAPS\u2019s crime combating philosophy is founded.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe AfriForum neighbourhood watches in Overstrand are at the disposal of the SAPS where crime needs to be combated,\u201d says Elmarie van Dalen.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfriForum realises that no organisation can be effective in isolation and therefore we encourage partnerships with other role-players in the community.
