Now the government wants to limit these freedoms and even criminalise them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The proposed regulations are not only impractical; they are a direct attack on our way of live and our property rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>By signing this petition, I object to the proposed regulations because<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>access to dams will be limited to forced approval.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>general activities like fishing and boating may be criminalised.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I can possibly be criminally prosecuted for recreational activities that have always been legal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>land owners can lose their right to use water from their own properties.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>government will obtain more control over private property.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>they may lead to paid access and commercialisation of water.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>they place unnecessary administrative burden on ordinary people.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>government focuses on control rather than on resolving the real water crisis and fixing infrastructure problems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Our dams belong to the people.<br>Our freedom is non-negotiable.<br>Our right to property is not for
