Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi\u2019s revelations. AfriForum strongly denies Nkabinde\u2019s allegations before this committee that AfriForum participated in a plot against former police commissioner, Khomotso Phahlane. According to AfriForum, the deliberate giving of false evidence before parliament is punishable by a fine or imprisonment for a maximum of two years or both in terms of section 12(2)(e) Powers, Privileges and Immunities of Parliaments Act (Act 4 of 2004).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kallie Kriel, CEO of AfriForum, challenges Nkabinde to take a lie detector test regarding his allegations. \u201cAfriForum is willing to pay the costs of the test and I myself am willing to take the test with Nkabinde,\u201d says Kriel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Kriel, Nkabinde has already proven himself to be an unreliable witness before the committee by contradicting himself. \u201cNkabinde claims that the meeting in which AfriForum was involved to plan Phahlane\u2019s downfall would take place at the end of 2017 or in 2018. This while Phahlane was already dismissed from his position on 1 June 2017,\u201d Kriel adds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kriel points out that Nkabinde\u2019s testimony is also unreliable because he was unable to name the person from AfriForum who would supposedly help concoct the \u201cplot\u201d.
