Stop Mogale City’s ridiculous tariff increase

The Mogale City Local Municipality has illegally approved a new tariff structure which is financially ruining residents and business owners in the municipality.

After many attempts by various organisations to talk to the municipality about these tariffs have failed, AfriForum approached the High Court in Pretoria to set aside this decision by the municipality and rather implement the 12,74% increase as submitted by the municipality.

The High Court set aside the application. AfriForum will not allow residents’ voices to go unheard on this matter and is now applying for leave to appeal against the verdict.
