Eskom wants to cut power to 15 Free State towns!

You will be without power due to financial mismanagement at the municipality.

Eskom plans to cut power supply to 15 Free State towns due to municipal debt.

This action by Eskom is not only unfair towards the residents of the town, but amounts to possible human rights violations.

Corrupt officials keep towns in a stranglehold by not settling municipal power debt, but now communities are expected to bear the consequences. This while the officials responsible for the predicament get off scot-free.

AfriForum demands that Eskom and the national government rather hold municipal officials accountable for the gross mismanagement of municipal finances, rather than depriving paying residents of basic rights.
